5-day Diwali holiday in Jammu schools from Oct 29

JAMMU (KIMS) — With just a week left until Diwali celebrations, the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) announced on Tuesday a five-day holiday for schools in the Jammu division, starting from October 29.

In an official order, the Director of School Education stated, “All educational institutions, both government and private, up to the Higher Secondary level in Jammu Division, shall observe five (5) days of Pooja Holidays from 29-10-2024 to 02-11-2024.”

Notably, the Hindu community in India celebrates Diwali, or Deepawali, annually between mid-October and mid-November. — (KIMS)
