45-yr-old woman slips to death in Kulgam

Kulgam, Apr 17: A 45-year-old woman died on Saturday after slipping into a Nallah in Gulzarabad area of Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

An official told that Gulshana Banoo (45), wife of Farooq Ahmad Malik of Humpathri slipped and fell into a Nallah while crossing a foot bridge between Gulzarabad and Humpathri Kulgam.

“Gulshana had gone to meet her sister. While crossing the foot bridge, she slipped into a Nallah and died on the spot,” he said, adding that the body was fished out by locals with the help of Tehsil administration in a span of one hour at Chund Badijalan.

He said the body was later handed over to her family members for last rites.(KNO)
