44RR hosts an “Iftaar party” having theme Sharbat-e-Mohabbat at COB Chowgam for Media Fertinity

Shopian: The Indian Army hosted a splendid Iftaar Party for the media persons at Chowgam, Shopian having theme of Sharbat-e-Mohabbat.

As part of the tradition, the Army invites media persons to local camps where Army personnel celebrate Iftaar with the media personnel.

During the event, CO 44 RR said “it is just an attempt to share the happiness of our Media persons in the holy month of Ramdan and we have arranged this Iftaar party in their respect, as they always at the forefront while reporting any incident, despite severe weather or law and order conditions. This is a small effort in in recognition of their selfless service and sharing some happiness with each other.”

Meanwhile, the media persons along with Muslim soldiers of 44 RR jointly prayed together post fast break.

The Media persons highly appreciated Army for organising this event and thanked them for providing them respect during the Holy month of Ramadan which provides a platform to all communities to interact with each other.

The function organised by the Army is a step towards uniting different communities. “The Media Personnel wholeheartedly welcome such initiatives” said one of the attendees.
