40-year-old driver killed in Uri road accident

Baramulla, Oct 09: A 40-year-old Sumo driver was killed in an accident in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.

According to the news agency KNO, a Sumo was on way to Chandawari when the vehicle met with an accident, resulting in on spot death of the driver.

Police officials confirmed to KNO and said that a sumo bearing registration number JK05-9295 met with an accident near Chach mod, resulting in on spot death of the driver.

Hospital authorities identified the deceased as Nazir Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Majeed Mir of Phalipora Boniyar.

“A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is going on,” officials said. (KNO)
