40 gms of heroin recovered by Police station Gangyal Jammu. Two peddlers arrested.
Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 40 grams of heroin from two accused near Sehora bridge area in the jurisdictions of PS Gangyal.
A dedicated police team of PS Gangyal constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and led by SHO PS Gangyal Inspector Joginder Singh Chib while on naka duty near Sehora bridge area rounded up two suspects in a vehicle bearing Registration No DL6CL 1355 who behaved suspiciously on seeing police teams. On search, 40 grams of heroin was recovered from them. The suspects were later identified as
1) Rayees Ahmed Khan S/O Wazir Ahmed Khan R/O Boniyar Tehsil Baramulla and
2) Shahid Qayoom S/O Abdul Qayoom R/O Trikanjan Baramulla.
In this regard a case FIR No. 35/2022 U/S 8/21/22/25/29/NDPS Act got registered in PS Gangyal and accused got arrested.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
