36-year-old man commits suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Kulgam

Kulgam: A 36-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself outside his home at Devsar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.

Official sources told wire service — Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that one Shabir Ahmad Itoo (36) son of Abdul Razaq Itoo of Guddar, Devsar, hanged himself from a tree near his house today morning.

The family members of the man, after spotting him hanging from a tree, immediately rushed him to the DH Kulgam where doctors declared him brought dead.

Shabir, was working as a Labour and it was not immediately known as to why he took this extreme step, the official said.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under 174 CrPc and taken up further investigations in this regard, the official added. (KNO)
