34-yr-old attempts suicide in Shopian village, shifted to SMHS

Shopian, May 30: A 34-year-old youth allegedly attempted to commit suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Daramdura village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.

An official told ANN that the youth (name withheld) tried to end his life after consuming some poisonous substance at his home in Daramdura, Shopian

He said that the youth was immediately rushed to nearby hospital where from he was referred to SMHS.

The official said that the reason behind his taking this extreme step was not immediately known.
