24-year-old youth killed in a road accident at South Kashmir’s Pulwama

Pulwama: A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a road mishap at Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening.

A police officer said that a motorcyclist Sahil Ahmad Ganaie (24) son of Shameem Ahmad Ganaie, resident of Samboora Pampore was seriously injured in collision between a motorcycle and Tata Sumo vehicle near Marwal Kakapora.

After receiving report of the accident, a police party from Kakapora immediately rushed to the spot and with the help of locals reffered the injured motorcyclist to the SMHS hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, he said.

The officer said that a case has been registered and driver of the vehicle has been arrested and his vehicle was seized.

A pall of gloom descended on the Samboora village as the news of his death reached there, a local resident said.
