21 bovine animals rescued by Jammu Police. Two accused arrested

 

Jammu: Acting tough against the bovine smugglers and to curb the bovine smuggling menace, Jammu Police has rescued 21 bovine animals i.e 09 bovine animals while on naka duty near Tanda Jagti Nagrota and 12 bovine animals at Salora area in the jurisdiction of PS Nagrota and PS Jhajjarkotli respectively.

A police team of PS Nagrota led by SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh while on naka duty at Tanda Jagti area rounded up a suspect who was transporting 09 bovine animals from Kheri Bantalab towards Srinagar.

In this regard, Case FIR No.311/2022 U/S 188/IPC , 11,12 and 13 Transport of animals rules on foot 2001 has been registered at PS Nagrota and accused got arrested. Accused arrested was identified as Mohd Younis S/o Jamal Din R/o Kalyan Pur Jammu.

Similarly, during patrolling duty at Salora area in the jurisdiction of PS Jhajjar Kotli, police teams of PS Jhajjarkotli led by SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Vikram Sharma rounded up a suspect namely Abdul Rashid S/O Fareed R/O Galeote Udhampur coming from churta area carrying 12 bovine animals.

In this regard a case FIR No.200/2022 U/S 188 IPC,11 PCA Act,11/12/13 Prevention of cruelty to Animals (Transportation of Animals on Foot) Rules 2001 got registered at PS Jhajjar Kotli and accused got arrested.

The overall arrest and recoveries in both the cases were made under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause.

*One absconder evading his arrest for last 3 months arrested by PS Gangyal Jammu*

Jammu: An information was received at PS Gangyal through reliable sources regarding an absconder namely Suresh Kumar S/O Rattan Chand R/O Lachhipur Tehsil Marheen Distt Kathua who was evading his arrest since May 2022 in case FIR No. 56/22 U/S 376 IPC of PS Gangyal.

On this special police teams of PS Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO PS Gangyal Inspr Joginder Singh did strenuous efforts and finally arrested the said person.

Further investigation of the case is going on to know about various activities accused has been involved into during last three months.
