2 SPOs announce resignation in Pulwama

Pulwama: Two Special Police Officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police from Pulwama district announced their resignations from the department on Sunday evening.

Mudasir Ahmad Mir and Firdous Ahmad Nengroo of Hanjan Payeen, Rajpora took to social media and announced their resignations.

Mir’s brother Sameer Ahmad who was also working as SPO with the state police was shot dead by suspected militants on January 1 at his home. In a 45 second video file apparently shot in an orchard, Mir has sought apology from the people.

Senior superintendent of police Chandan Kohli told that he had not yet seen the video and he would be able to say anything only after seeing and then confirming the authenticity of the clip.
