2 die after truck plunges into gorge on Sgr-Leh highway
Srinagar, Oct 14 : Two persons were killed after a truck they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge on Zojila Pass in Ganderbal district on Saturday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the truck that was on its way from Kargil to Sonamarg skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Mandir Mode on Zojila.
He said that two persons died and their bodies were recovered by rescue teams from the site of accident.
An official told KNO the deceased have been identified as Mohmmad Shabir son of Faqar-Din resident of Kewal, Budhal, Rajouri, Raja Javid Akther Son of Raja Ghulam Akther Resident of Karna, Kupwara
Police has taken cognizance of the incident and set investigation into motion—(KNO)
