2 Al-Badr millitants associates arrested in Sgr: Police
Srinagar, Nov 02 : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said to have arrested two millitants associates linked with Al-Badr from Shalteng area of Srinagar.
During late night checking at a security checkpoint along Shalteng Bridge by the joint parties of PS Parimpora and PC Mujgund, 02 terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit Al-Badr were arrested, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
They have been identified as Yawar Rashid son of Abdul Rashid Dar and Basit Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of SaderBala, Bandipora.
During search, incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 01 Pistol, 02 Pistol Magazines, 28 Pistol rounds and 01 Hand Grenade was recovered from their possession, police said.
Regarding the incident, police said that a case under FIR number 159/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Parimpora and investigation has been initiated—(KNO)
