1st Chinar Inter College Badminton Tournament Inaugurated In GDC Bijbehara

Anantnag: 1st Chinar Inter College Badminton Tournament was today inaugurated in Govt. Degree College Bijbehara, in which a total of 11 Colleges from Kashmir Valley are participating.

The Tournament was Kick Started by the worthy Principal of the college Prof. Nazir Ahmad Chirag along with the other faculty members of the college.

While speaking on the inaugural ceremony Prof. Nazir Ahmad Chirag said that it is the biggest asset of our college that we have indoor Badminton Hall and is probably the first ever sports Indoor hall of South Kashmir.

He stressed students to be engaged with the game and get the benefits of the facility available in the college.

He further said that college is always trying its best to flourish the sports in college and this inter college Badminton tournament is meant for all Valley college students and it lies on the part of students to show interest in participation and get benefits.

At the end of inaugural ceremony Principal Prof. N.A. Chirag lauded the efforts of Physical education Department of college and other participating colleges for making the tournament a sucessful event.

On the opening day, in the first match GDC Kulgam defeats GDC Tral, GDC Boys Anantnag defeats GDC Dooru in the Second match and GDC Bijbehara Defeats GDC Kulgam in the third match.

The tournament is organised by the Physical Education and Sports Department of the college.
