17-yr-old biker dies, another injured in Budgam road accident

BUDGAM: A 17-year-old youth died while another sustained injuries after a bike they were travelling on met with an accident at Gatiloora Arizal in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday evening.

Sources told that a biker lost his control over his bike and collided with a wall, resulting in injuries to both—biker and pillion rider wounded.

He said that they were rushed to a nearby PHC wherefrom they were shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.

He said that one among the injured succumbed to the injuries at SMHS hospital while the condition of another is said to be critical. He identified the deceased as 17-year-old Shafayat Ahmed Khan of Gutlioora while the injured has been identified as 15-year-old Sajad Ahmed Khan of Aarizal.

An official confirmed the incident, saying that a case has been registered and investigation has been started into the incident. (KNO)
