13 Bn SSB Dignibal Conducts Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Awareness Programme in Ganderbal District

Srinagar, Feb 24: A proactive move towards fostering community welfare, the 13th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) organized a comprehensive Drug Abuse Awareness program in collaboration with the Socio Economic Empowerment of Kashmir Society (SEEKS) NGO in Wayil, Ganderbal. Concurrently, a Medical and Veterinary Civic Action program was conducted at the Government Boys Middle School, Bakura in Ganderbal district.

The event, held on February 24, saw enthusiastic participation from the local community, underscoring the commitment of the 13 Bn SSB Dignibal to tackle pressing social issues. SEEKS, an NGO specializing in raising awareness about drug abuse, lauded the SSB’s dedication to community service. The NGO team staged skits and performed songs highlighting the detrimental effects of drug abuse, receiving applause from the youth in Bakura and neighboring villages.

As part of the medical and veterinary civic action program, Bakura village residents received free medical services and veterinary care for their livestock under the supervision of Commandant Dr. Gourav Misra, Dr. [Additional Names]. The locals commended the collaborative efforts of various agencies toward building a healthier and safer society.

Commandant Sh. Mukesh Singh Yadav, in his inaugural address, stressed the need for a sustained campaign to combat the scourge of drug abuse and its profound impact on future generations. He expressed gratitude to Bakura village residents for their active participation and support, underscoring the success of the initiative.
