12 bore rifle, 50 grams gunpowder found from labourer’s house in Tral: Police
Srinagar, May 23: Police on Sunday said that 12 bore rifle and some suspected 50 grams of gunpowder was recovered from house of a labourer during a cordon-and-search-operation at Nagbal Machama area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A senior police officer to GNS that police along with army’s 42 RR and 180 batallion CRPF launched joint CASO at the house of one Mohammad Amin Malik, “labourer by profession and a former militant (2004)”.
“During search , one binocular, one 12 bore rifle (unlicensed), 10 rounds of the rifle and suspected explosive materials (Gun powder approximately 50 gms), one kg bleaching powder like substance and iron/steal ball bearings (approx 250- 300gms) besides combat pouch and weapon sling,” he said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation taken up.
