103 Civilians Killed In Kashmir In 2018: Report

Srinagar: As many as 103 civilians were killed in 2018 in the “ongoing conflict” in Kashmir.

International Forum for Justice Human Rights JK (IFJHRJK) in its report ‘Valley drenched in Blood’ released here states that from December 10 last year, as many as 103 civilians were killed in the “ongoing conflict” in Kashmir.

Giving breakup of the civilian deaths, the report states: 40 civilians were killed near encounter sites, and eight ladies and seven political activists were also killed during the year.

It says 24 protestors, besides two mentally challenged people, were also killed during the period.

The report states two people lost their lives when they were “mowed” down by forces’ vehicles, while 18 people were killed by unknown gunmen.
